Little Sarah loves her tea

茶会当天, 这位可爱的小女孩, 莎拉,一直在我身旁。三不五时拍拍我,跟我说她想要喝茶。她边喝边跳舞。我问她为什么这么开心?她说:“茶好好喝,我还要~”。 她最爱喝的是东方美人茶和蜜香红茶。 

现在很多小孩爱汽水,其实这些饮料糖份高又不健康。“慈悲书斋”的东方美人及蜜香红茶拥有一股天然的香气及蜜香味,就连小孩都喜欢。看她喝得是不是不亦乐乎? 

While going through the photos taken during our recent tea event, a few photos stand out and looking at them, it all came flooding back. 

There was this carefree little Sarah who would happily hang around us. She would nudge me every now requesting me to refill her empty cups. Her face could be beaming with joy as she drank the tea like a fish. When asked why was she so happy, her response was they are yummy-ious! 

She fell in love with CBH's Oriental Beauty Tea and Honey Black Tea for its natural sweet and fruit smell. In today's world when most kids would be indulging in sugary drinks, it is such a joy to hear this!

A cuppa a day keeps dementia away: Study

Tea also lowers one's risk of Alzheimer's, cognitive damage

An apple a day may keep the doctors away, but tea could stave off dementia, a National University of Singapore (NUS) study has found.

Regular tea drinkers are less likely to get dementia compared with those who do not drink tea at all, and all that is needed is around 200ml, or the average kopitiam cuppa, once a day.

Tea can also help those whose genetics predispose them to getting Alzheimer's disease - the most common form of dementia - keep the disease at bay.


Whether the tea is green, black or oolong makes no significant difference, said Assistant Professor Feng Lei, who conducted the study.

However, the results, published last year, apply only to tea brewed with leaves from the tea plant - formally known as Camellia sinensis - and not to fruit or flower teas. And adding milk to tea will reduce the absorption of one of the chemicals called catechin.

Prof Feng, who is from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine's psychological medicine department, studied nearly 1,000 Singaporean Chinese seniors over a seven-year period.



Prof Feng's team asked the seniors about their tea-drinking habits between 2003 and 2005, then followed up with them every two years between 2006 and 2010.

He found that people who made tea drinking a habit had a 61 per cent lower risk of having cognitive impairment, compared with those who did not drink tea.

The study also found that the 177 seniors with a gene known as ApoE4 - which can increase a person's risk of getting Alzheimer's disease by several times - had an 86 per cent lower risk of developing this problem if they were tea drinkers.

Although the study was conducted among Chinese, its results should apply to other ethnicities as well, Prof Feng said.

"The biology of how the brain changes during the ageing process and the compounds from tea are all the same, so I don't think there will be a difference," he said.

Dementia affects an estimated one in 10 people aged over 60 in Singapore, where the population of people aged 65 and above is expected to double to 900,000 by 2030.

Prof Feng said that tea leaves contain chemicals with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which could help to protect the brain. "Our understanding of the detailed biological mechanisms is still very limited, so we do need more research to find out definitive answers," he added.

The study results are good news to 28-year-old Jonathan Lim, who enjoys the hot beverage. "I drink green tea almost on a daily basis, so that's good to hear," said the civil servant.

An Italian study in 2012 found that consuming a cocoa drink every day could also keep dementia at bay.

茶在手中是风景,茶在口中是人生





茶者,心静也。
喜欢茶的人,必是喜欢安静的人。

茶本是大自然的灵物,带着自然的芳香,经过人工的培制,呈现出各式各样的茶品,为人们的生活增香增健康。

与茶相伴久了,便喜欢与茶说话。






茶总是这样通灵性,忧郁时浓烈,心悦时清幽,平淡时无味,变幻着各种心情,如心的荡漾。

每天的心情也是起伏波动,遇难时喜愁,顺境中喜乐,渗杂一起,便是人生。

只有安静下来,滤去了浮燥,如这杯清茶也有了归宿。

茶需要漫漫泡,烧水,洗杯需要个过程。水冲入茶的瞬间,也便开始了茶的人生之旅。

茶是一片片的,慢慢的在杯中散开,天女散花般在杯中溢出清绿的世界。叶片有大有小,有卷有缩,每一个的角色不同,但他们在上演同一个世界,那是清纯的世界,与世无争的世界。

枝头上的一楼芳香,被风干成岁月,凝结在茶罐里,冲泡在茶杯中。









茶幽香,是岁月的幽香,是经历风雨的升华,是苦尽甘来的甜蜜。

茶永远保持质朴的内涵,无论经过多少变迁,都不会改变枝头的模样,清淡的,一层绿纱萦绕,散发着淡淡的幽香。品茶,要品茶之心境和自然的情怀,也是品自然赐予人类的健康。

茶性淡泊,与世无争,在恬淡的生活中,找寻自我的快乐。

饮茶就要饮那份意境,若是只讲究了过程,却缺少了饮茶的乐趣。

茶本就随性,简单如一。

茶是生活中的乐趣,也因为品茶而悟出人生的许多道理。每日喧嚣过去,便由茶伴我安静。

的确,心情若是不好时,走在大街上,看到是满街人的噪动,看到是纷纷嚷嚷的心。正如刚冲沏的茶叶,乱纷纷,上下起伏,整个世界喧闹起来。


茶总归要平静的,人最归也要归宿的,都各自归于平静,周而复始着人生。

茶在手中是风景,茶在口中是人生那淡淡的悠香便在齿间了,永远保留着清香。

人生的道路漫长,每一个景致都需要欣赏,无论赐予的是悲伤,还是快乐。把风景变人生,慢慢品味,如茶般悠香,永远。

2017 冬入春:茶艺特训 2017 Winter-Spring: Special Tea Immersion Classes


有位朋友说,「小时候,幸福是一件简单的事。长大了,简单是一件幸福的事」。

在最近赴台学艺的过程中,我们对这句话有了更深一层的感触,故希望在这里与大家分享。

为了呈现更完美的茶给大家, 我们再次去台湾请老师赐教茶艺。老师拿出了很多私人珍藏品让我们品尝。 在看老师行茶的过程中,我们原本紧张的心开始慢慢放松柔软了。 观茶,清澈晶亮的茶汤净化了我们的心绪; 品茶,让我们仿佛置身山水之间,那清朗的气息着实沁人心脾。喝的不仅只是一杯茶、也是品尝生活的滋味 。一杯茶让我们找回忙碌时忘了的幸福。

课程的最后一天,老师特别带我们来到宁静的山顶。我们倚靠着椅背,静观远方千变万化的云海,静心感受绵延山峦静幽处,一股幸福感忽然涌上心头。虽然很快就要回到原来忙碌的生活中,但这次,却带着些许不一样的心境。 原来细心体会,幸福就在生活里。

A friend once said "Happiness is simple when one is young. As one gets older, one will appreciate simplicity on its own is happiness."

The above saying may sound like abstract concept, thus We'd like to share with you how this abstract notion become very real to us in a recent trip that we had and appreciate what it means on a deeper level.

We went to Taiwan for an intensive immersion classes to equip ourselves with more tea knowledge and skills. Teacher shared many of his treasured valuable personal collection of tea with us. Watching the beautiful flow of the tea ceremony that Teacher performed strangely transported us to a place of ease. The aesthetics tranquility of the ceremony engaged our senses. The sight of Teacher's composure and quietness demeanor combined with olfactory and taste sensation alleviated us to have a complete enjoyment. Tea appreciation is a chance to slow down and pull back from our busy schedule. Just a simple cup of tea keeps the palace of our soul serene. Such is simple happiness.

Towards the end of the training, Teacher brought us for a short rustic peaceful retreat at mountain top. Leaning against the back of chairs, we gazed in awe at the nirvana quiet mountains as dove white clouds swept across...changing as they moved through the mountains. Such breathtaking view! Just one word to describe --- beautiful. This simple bliss was felt because we chose to enjoy that very moment we had.

Although we are now back in the busyness of life, we learnt to make time to enjoy simple things in life. Simple happiness is in our life every day... just waiting for us to recognize it!

英国一项抗氧化实验告诉你:一杯茶的营养到底有多高?

喝茶有什么好处?提神?醒酒?减肥?清火?实际上喝茶的好处不止这些,把这些好处都列出来,真的让人吓一跳!
茶叶有“三抗”和“三降”等六大好处,即抗癌变、抗辐射、抗氧化、降血压、降血脂、降血糖。
